Jones on 15 February, 2013 February 15, 2013 No Hard Edges Creating Space in the Body by Madisyn Taylor Our minds and bodies are interconnected, and the condition of one affects the condition of the other. This is why meditation is such a powerful tool for healing the body, as powerful as physical therapies. When our minds are cluttered with thoughts, information, and plans, our bodies respond by trying to take action. When the body has a clear directive from the mind, it knows what to do, but a cluttered, unfocused mind creates a confused, tense body. Our muscles tighten up, our breath shortens, and we find ourselves feeling constricted without necessarily knowing why. When we sit down to meditate, we let our bodies know that it is okay to be still and rest. This is a clear directive from the mind, and the body knows exactly how to respond. Thus, at the very beginning, we have created a sense of clarity for the body and the mind. As we move deeper into meditation, the state of our mind reveals itself, and we have the opportunity to consciously decide to settle it. A meditation teacher pointed out that if you put a cow in a small pen, she acts up and pushes against the boundaries, whereas if you provide her with a large, open space, she will peacefully graze in one spot. In the same way, our thoughts settle down peacefully if we provide them with enough space, and our bodies follow suit. When we settle down to examine and experience our consciousness, we discover that there are no hard, definable edges. It is a vast, open space in which our thoughts can come and go without making waves, as long as we let them by neither attaching to them nor repressing them. As we see our thoughts come and go, we begin to breathe deeper and more easily, finding that our body is more open to the breath as it relaxes along with the mind. In this way, the space we recognize through meditation creates space in our bodies, allowing for a feeling of lightness and rightness with the world. A Blessing in Unity Posted by Tara Mary on 15 February, 2013 There is only unity held with this glorious universe. This unity is our truest source. It emanates peace and restores balance to all things in all places. The way of the one has arrived within my consciousness and silently immersed my will to its disciple. Today shall be a better day than yesterday, and tomorrow a brighter image than today could possibly be because I am surrounded and guided by a companion of Infinite Intelligence. An aspect of divine mastership that has always known how to respond to a heart that desires for mindful restoration of the true self.  A Presence that unconditionally reveals its nature to the human enthusiast when asked. A fragrance that engulfs the entire being with a resurrected passion for love and light. This is the alliance of Mastery, and this is my remembering now. This is what is real, this is what I decree and know about myself as absolute truth. I savor it and celebrate the freedom that I am. I am filled with deep gratitude knowing as I let this mastership dawn, I become a light unto all others. Mastery is both knowing and not knowing, doing and not doing. It is this balance between the two that brings peace and wisdom to this seeker.   And so it is.                           ~~~~~~~~~ ** o O o ** ~~~~~~~~~ www.angelaperegoff.com email: blessings@angelaperegoff.com Going Beyond the Superficial Life Posted by Tara Mary on 15 February, 2013 Dear friends ~ It appears that we are in a new year that has started with many distressing natural and unnatural events occurring around the Globe. I don't need to list them, we all know what some of them are. Thank goodness for modern technology so that alerts can go out when needed in cases of life-threatening emergencies. The thought I awoke with this morning was the awareness of how much this physical world 'throws' at us in dire and challenging ways. We certainly get tested and tried and wrung out and re-invented (perhaps, hopefully) and we start again the next day. It is the superficial life, the physical life, that seems to take a lot of our energy, emotional as well as physical. Maintaining our 'status-quo' seems to be the order of the day! And what has happened to all those magnificent experiences of awakening and awareness of our true-selves, or insights into why we are here in the first place playing our role in this ascension process? I believe it is there when we take the time to find peace in our day, shut off the outside world, and go within and connect with the inner-world that is infinite and expanding. This connection on a regular basis is I think crucial for reminding us about the reason why we incarnated at this time. We are all a part of the creation of this new world which will take as long as it takes to come to fruition and replace the outside world we now have. We need to keep ourselves motivated and remember that the earth-changes go on regardless of our opinions and personal assessments of these events. Our job is Us and what we do with the opportunity we have been given to shift ourselves out of physical awareness back into the Essence of our Being.  All that we need is there, within, waiting for us patiently and without judgment.
