UN SUEÑO DE NAVIDAD
La noche tenía un Cielo brillante. Las estrellas habían salido en alegres grupos para iluminarlo y advertir y precisar ante los habitantes de la tierra que era la víspera de la Navidad, por lo que nadie podía tener amarguras, ni peleas, ni guerras. Se acercaba el Nacimiento de Jesús, la mejor noticia que el Mundo iba a recibir por los siglos de los siglos.
Era, en cierta forma, el mensaje de paz que la Madre Naturaleza lanzaba, en una estación invernal, a un mundo convulsionado por las guerras, por los espíritus belicosos, por los hombres que habían olvidado que muy jóvenes, desde su nacimiento, habían creado un núcleo denominado Familia, que con el paso de los años se estaba desintegrando, con lo cual los grandes valores morales y éticos, dolorosamente, se escabullían.
También ese Cielo tan preciosamente iluminado quería despertar la conciencia de tántos y tántos jóvenes -hombres y mujeres- sumidos en la más tremenda oscuridad porque una vez, pese a las numerosas advertencias, ingresaron en el mundo de las drogas. Y a muchísimos les costaba salir luego de ellas. Y, generalmente, pasaban a convertirse en delincuentes porque su adicción les obligaba a matar o a robar.
El Cielo quería con esa luminosidad indicar el camino para quienes son causantes de las grandes epidemias que, como el Sida, van extendiéndose por el mundo, y señalarles que, con mínimas precauciones, podían evitar su propagación y no seguir siendo la causa de miles y miles de muertes.
Quería también el Cielo, rodeado de estrellas que se mantenían firmes y no eran fugaces, dar una luz de esperanza para millones de personas víctimas del racismo y la xenofobia, por el color de su piel, por su procedencia, por su condición económica débil, para que tuvieran un hálito de paz y pensaran que un día no muy lejano serían bien recibidos y desaparecerían todas las persecuciones, los malos y despectivos tratos, las mofas y podrían trabajar y establecerse en países que no eran los suyos para ayudar a crear riquezas y poder subsistir decorosamente.
La víspera del Nacimiento del Niño Dios, un Cielo tan resplandeciente, pretendía indicar que todas las religiones eran igualmente respetables y que en nombre de ninguna de ellas se podía incitar al crimen, al terrorismo, a la violencia porque, precisamente Dios, creó al mundo para que la gente se entendiese mediante la palabra.
Desde miles de kilómetros de distancia, el Cielo ofrecía a la vista un hermoso panorama, como queriendo decir que iban a desaparecer las desigualdades sociales; que los hombres y mujeres de buena voluntad contarían con los recursos indispensables para su supervivencia y que la pobreza y la miseria pasarían a ser elementos de un lejano pasado. Así se conseguiría que la felicidad fuera la norma general , que ya nadie pasaría hambre, que todos contarían con una vivienda digna, con eficientes sistemas de salud y de educación, sin prejuicios sociales ni discriminaciones.
En fin, ese conglomerado de estrellas no se había asomado al Cielo para darle un simple colorido. No. En cada uno de sus reflejos luminosos traía un mensaje específico para que se acabaran las guerras; para que la familia volviera a ser ese gran núcleo compacto donde predominase el diálogo, como símbolo de unidad; para que desapareciesen las pandemias, causantes de tantas muertes; para que no hubiese nunca más las drogas malignas y se eliminaran para siempre las redes de narcotraficantes; para que el blanco, el negro, el amarillo y todas las razas convivieran pacíficamente ayudándose unas a otras; para que todas las religiones se uniesen en un sólo objetivo de ser auténticas guías espirituales y, en su nombre, no volviesen a aparecer vientos bélicos; para que en todo el mundo las divergencias, las diferencias entre los seres humanos encontraran la solución mediante el diálogo.
Todo esto lo soñé con una extrema felicidad, con el orgullo de pertenecer a una raza humana que había encontrado, sin vacilaciones, por fin, el camino amplio de la confraternidad; el Cielo parecía decirme: "goza bien de esta noche, que a lo mejor nunca se repetirá. Pero cuando despiertes trata de convertirte en una adalid de las buenas y nobles causas. Debes formar causa común con tu familia, con tus amigos, para que todos, como una sola persona, procuren hacer el bien".
Pero, desafortunadamente todo era un sueño. Tuve que despertar y encontrarme con la realidad, con esa cruda realidad, que muchas veces, con gesto dolorido, remueve las entrañas ante tantos hechos dolorosos, tristes, injustos y amargos que se viven a diario Durante la noche la lluvia y la nieve se habían entremezclado y el Cielo había estado permanentemente a oscuras. Mi mente había ideado un mundo digno. Un mundo construido para el ser humano. Un mundo, sin embargo, destruido por el propio ser humano, debido a su egoísmo, a no saber alejar de su corazón las malas obras y la cizaña y por tener abierta su mente y su pensamiento para el mal cerrándole todas sus puertas al bien.
